Picnic Lunch
It was that time of the year, i had a look at the on going list of unfinished jobs that i had, there was the, sea saw i had promised my kids and also the adjustable picnic table plans that had been lying around for a while. i decided right there and then that i was going to get my toolbox out and complete my first DIY project.
These days so many kids spend the whole life indoors, the least i could do to encourage my kids to play outside is to actually complete the adjustable picnic table plans that I had purchased so long ago. if i wanted my kids to stop playing on the computer the least i could do was to get outside myself.
step 1: dust off the adjustable picnic table plans
step 2: read the plans and make a list of everything i will need.
step 3: go to the hardware store and pick up wood and other materials.
step 4: have lunch (i always do the best work on a full stomach)
step 5: follow the step by step adjustable picnic table plans.
step 6: get a band aid for my sore finger
step 7: receive the hugs and kisses of my adoring kids
step 8: have an outdoor picnic with the whole family
step 9: go to bed feeling like a real man after a good days work!
Whilst I'm not your typical handy man, i can't tell you how much i enjoyed the experience of working outdoors with a hammer and nails. Not to mention how cheap the whole project turned out to be. If you are thinking about building a picnic table or any outdoor projects, i would highly recommend giving it a go yourself.
If you are unsure about where to start, then simply find yourself some adjustable picnic table plans or different plans for a different project. Most of all enjoy the experience of spending some time outside and with your family and kids.
